Feeney introduces the new Lightline® Canopy products manufactured by Polymer Kunststoffe GmbH of Germany. LightLine® Canopies combine stainless steel, aluminum and acrylic components into modern, eye-catching designs that are both visually and functionally attractive. The canopies are sold in easy-to-order, fast-to-assemble kits with durable, weather-tough 304-grade stainless steel support arms, UV resistant acrylic visor panes, integrated aluminum rain gutters and attachment hardware. Kits come in three styles and a variety of sizes with clear, frosted or tinted pane finish options, and the special patented Click-Lock pane attachment feature makes installation a breeze.

Elegant Curves for your front door

The LightLine® Curve Canopy is the simplest and most popular style with a design that gently slopes away from the wall.

  • Kits come in four size models: (1500, 1900, 2700, and XL) and include basic installation hardware
  • A hidden rubber gasket seals the canopy to the wall surface and directs rainwater down the curved pane into an integrated front gutter
  • Support arms with special Click-Lock pane attachment feature create a strong, durable and weather-tight structure
  • 4mm (5/32") thick UV resistant acrylic visor pane is available in clear, frosted or tinted finishes. XL-Curve pane is 6mm (1/4") thick
  • Support arms are 304-grade stainless steel with a fine sand satin finish; gutters are clear-anodized aluminum

Installing the Lightline® Canopy is a Snap!

Important Note: Lightline canopy kits come with all the hardware needed to assemble. Please verify what type of wall you are dealing with before installing the canopy. If necessary, you may need to use screws and anchors other than those included in the enclosed installation kit. Consult a licensed contractor for installation hardware recommendations.

The acrylic glass panel is inserted into the groove of the rain gutter - then the "Click Lock" is locked into place and the stainless steel caps are screwed on.

Lightline® Canopies Important Handling and Maintenance Information

Materials:
All Lightline® canopies are manufactured from durable, high quality materials offering lasting beauty and performance, but proper handling, installation, and maintenance are critical to maximizing the life and appearance of the product.

The stainless steel components in the Lightline® canopies are made from 304 grade stainless steel with a fine-grain satin finish and the aluminum components have a clear anodized finish. While both of these metals have excellent resistance to weathering, they will stain or oxidize when exposed to corrosive forces in the following environments:
  • High humidity with salinity (seaside environments)
  • Exposure to chlorinated water (swimming pools)
  • Water containing any residual chemicals (recycled water)
  • Water containing construction chemicals (i.e. contaminated rainwater transfer off
    building façade)
  • Areas with excessive pollution (acid rain)
Please consider these factors when selecting a location for your canopy.

The acrylic visor panes also have excellent resistance to weather and UV rays, but prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and environmental contaminants may cause discoloration over time. And since they are a plastic material, they are subject to scratching if handled improperly. Therefore, it is important to install and handle the panes carefully and to clean them properly. Please note that the special Click-Lock installation feature makes it easy to replace panes if they are ever damaged.

Excessive Loads:
Lightline® canopies are designed to withstand winds and snows loads, but excessive or sudden loading such as accumulated snow or ice/snow sliding off of a roof can cause damage and even failure. Be sure to remove accumulated snow of more than 1 foot in depth from the top of the canopy and monitor and remove any heavy accumulations on roofs or potential slide areas above the canopy.

Initial Cleaning:
Any residue from shipping, installation (drill dust, etc.) or surrounding construction, should be removed immediately to prevent damage to the Lightline® canopy (see Care/Prevention below).

Care/Prevention

  • Regular cleaning of the product is very important (6-12 month intervals in normal environments, 3-6 month intervals in dustier or heavier polluted areas).
  • Clean the acrylic pane and aluminum components with mild dishwashing soap and water and a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue.
  • Clean the stainless surfaces with Enviro-Magic® cleaner (available from Feeney).
  • Periodically check to see that all attachment hardware is tight and secure.
  • As necessary, clear the rain gutter channels of dirt and debris to ensure proper water flow.
  • Remove any accumulated snow on and/or above the canopy.

5 Year Limited Warranty


Feeney Inc. (Feeney) warrants that all Lightline® canopy components (e.g. stainless steel support arms, aluminum gutters and acrylic panes) shall be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use, conditions, installation and maintenance in accordance with product specifications for five (5) years from date of purchase.

How To Order Lightline® Canopies

  1. Carefully Review: read all of the information provided in the Canopy descriptions and installation pages. If you have questions, please call our sales department for assistance, 1-800/888-2418.
  2. Select Your Canopy Style & Size: select from either Curve, Arch or Gable styles.
  3. Select Canopy Width: kits come in a variety of widths; 1500, 1900, 2700 or XL for the Curve style. 1500 or 1900 for the Arch or Gable style. Technical drawings show both imperial and metric dimensions. Select the size to suit your needs.
  4. Select Acrylic Pane Finish: we currently offer Clear or Frosted finishes. Choose either CLR or FRS when ordering your particular model.
  5. Determine Quantity: count the number of kits you'll need.
  6. Confirm Details & Prices: all projects are unique, so give us a call, 1-800/888-2418, and we will help work-up and confirm a final list of all the kits and any additional items you'll need and give you a price quote and delivery time estimate.
